U.S. Postal Service is increasing shipping rates Jan. 18.
The following services will increase:
- Parcel Select, by 5.9 percent
- Priority Mail, by 3.9 percent
- Express Mail, by an average of 5.7 percent
- Parcel Return Service, by 5.3 percent
- International Shipping Services, by 8.5 percent.
The U.S. Postal Service announcement, the price changes on mailing services, including stamps, will be announced in February 2009 and will go into effect in May 2009.
